The Youth exchange Adrift in the Diversity links to the International year of Biodiversity 2010 with appel to the youth. By its originality it brings an opportunity to 20 young people from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria and Spain to get in touch with nature and understand the importance of natural balance. From 16 to 30. 08. 2010, this young participants will live at the Bird Island (Hrušovská Zdrž, Slovakia; part of protected area NATURA 2000), in the heart of nature, finding way to each other and discussing and experiencing how to protect nature and reach stability of biodiversity.

This will be provided not only theoretically, but by experience and unformal learning. With help of Birdlife Slovakia, participants themselves can see and try how to create conditions for birds nesting, ring the birds or take care of goats used for grazing. Each country has to present a biodiversity of their country to share and compare, also. We believe that for to mantain and preserve the biodiversity of any area, it is very important to involve young people and also make a little step forward to european cooperation on this issue. These are also our main goals. We hope, this project will bring a new knowledge and motivation to young people for participation in similar activities in their country.)
